Clauzy splits the document into numbered clauses and sub-clauses, keeps cross-references intact, and reads defined terms as a graph rather than as loose capitalised words. Schedules and annexes are treated as part of the same instrument.
Each clause is scored against your preferred position, your fallback, and your walk-away. A clause that is merely unusual is flagged differently from one that breaches a hard rule your general counsel set.
Suggestions arrive as clause-level replacement text in your own drafting voice, exported as native tracked changes with a comment explaining the rationale and the rule reference behind it.
A short internal note ranking what is blocking, what is worth trading, and what to concede first — so the person on the call knows the order of the argument before it starts.

No. Customer documents are never used as training data, and there is no shared learning pool between accounts. Models run in our EU infrastructure under a zero-retention agreement, and uploaded documents are deleted on the retention schedule you set — by default thirty days after review.
It replaces the first pass, not the judgement. Clauzy produces the markup a junior reviewer would spend two hours on, with citations, so the qualified person spends their time on the three clauses that actually matter. Nothing is submitted to a counterparty without a human accepting it.
Most teams do not. Clauzy ships with a market-standard baseline covering 62 clause types, and during onboarding it reads your last fifty signed agreements to infer the positions you have actually been accepting. You then confirm or correct each inferred rule.
English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish contract text, with jurisdiction-aware rules for England and Wales, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Ireland and Delaware. Other governing laws are reviewed against your playbook, with jurisdiction-specific enforceability commentary marked as unavailable rather than guessed.
Fourteen days, no card, full playbook configuration included. If the first ledger is not useful, nothing is charged and nothing is retained.
